The
Youth Theatre holds open auditions for each play it produces. The name
of the production, the parts available, and the audition schedule will
be announced several weeks prior to each audition date. The standards
for participating in a Youth Theatre production are as follow:
- Any
student from the 4th grade through the 12th grade is eligible to tryout
(this may vary depending on the age requirements of the characters
in a particular play).
-
Since
students are asked to be excused from classes for the two days of
the School-Time Performances, good grades are a prerequisite
for auditioning.
-
Announcements
and posters about the tryouts will be sent to each school a week prior
to the auditions.
-
Unless
otherwise stated, all auditions are held at the Arts Center at 385
S. Spring Street.
-
Rehearsals run Monday - Thursday from 5:30-7:30p.m. for approximately
6 weeks.
