The Odd Couple

 Oscar and Felix.  The very mention of their names brings a chuckle to millions of people who have  enjoyed their hilarious antics.  Oscar Madison, a recently separated sports writer, lives in a filthy  apartment on New York’s Riverside Drive.  When Oscar’s friend, Felix Unger, also finds himself  single, the two decide to move in together.  Hilarity ensues, as Felix and Oscar are quite possibly the most mismatched pair ever to live under one roof.

 Cats
 March 7-9 & 14-16, 2008
8 p.m. Friday and Saturday & 3 p.m. Sunday

 A musical masterpiece by any definition, Cats will set you purring.  Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats and other poems by T.S. Eliot, Cats is one of the most popular musicals of all time.  It is the night of the annual Jellicle Ball where the wisest Jellicle Cat, Old Deuteronomy, will decide which cat is to given the chance to be re-born.  Munkustrap, acts as the Master of Ceremonies for the five cats, Jennyanydots, The Rum Tum Tugger, Bustopher Jones, Gus the Theatre Cat and Skimbleshanks, competing for the place in Heaven.  Grizabeela, the former glamour cat, is uninvited and despite her begging for the chance to be reborn, is constantly ostracized by her peers.  Only one cat will be chosen to ascend to the Heavyside Layer and be re-born.  Who will it be?  Join us at the Jellicle Ball!

Steel Magnolia’s
April 18-20 & 25-27, 2008

Six women come together as friends in this hilarious and heartwarming story of life, love and loss in the   small  Louisiana Parish of Chinquapin County.  A mother looks to her four closest friends for strength and laughter as she battles her deepest fears to join her daughter Shelby in her excitement and joy over a new baby – despite the fact that Shelby’s diabetes could get in the way.  Through it all, these women become Steel Magnolias: beautiful, but strong enough to survive any challenge together.

A whole lot of rockin’ and rollin’ going on!  A Grammy award winning 50’s and 60’s song and dance          musical revue featuring 40 hits made popular by Elvis, The Coasters, The Drifters, Peggy Lee and more.  Snap, tap and shimmy along to unforgettable titles such as Jailhouse Rock, Stand by Me, Yakety Yak, Hound Dog, Love Potion #9, and many more.  Come rock your socks off!

 Bye Bye Birdie
September 14-16 & 21-23, 2007

The year is 1960 and the worst thing possible has happened!  Conrad Birdie, the biggest singing sensation of the 1960’s has been drafted!  Teenie-boppers all over the country are crying and fainting at the thought!  Before he heads off to the army, his manager cooks up the ultimate publicity stunt: Conrad will share ‘one last kiss’ with one randomly chosen member of his fan club on a live broadcast of The Ed Sullivan Show.  A hilarious look back at a bygone decade where easy listening pop music was being overtaken by rock and roll.
