An annual "holiday gift to the community" from Spartanburg's cultural groups, "A Dickens Of A Christmas" transforms downtown Spartanburg into a Victorian setting capturing the holiday spirit celebrated in Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol." Occurring the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving, the event includes Victorian characters, singers, performers, artists and Denny's annual Tree Lighting.
